Dear UCI Campus Community Parents,

The Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory is pleased to host the 2022 Irvine Brain Bee, a day-long celebration of brain science at UC Irvine. The Irvine Brain Bee inspires Orange County high school students to learn about the brain and engage with university students and professors.

The 2022 Irvine Brain Bee Competition will take place on March 5, 2022 on the UC Irvine campus. In addition to the competition itself, the day will feature neuroscience demonstrations and hands-on workshops and dissections as well as panel discussions and a keynote lecture by Dr. Liz Chrastil. The competition is 100% free for students. Participants will receive an event shirt, prizes and lunch.

The winner of the Irvine Brain Bee will be awarded a trip for two to the National Brain Bee to compete with high schoolers from around the country.

All high school students, regardless of prior neuroscience knowledge, are encouraged to participate in this fun day.

We look forward to seeing your high schoolers on March 5!

Sincerely,
