2024 CNLM Awards
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce that applications and nominations are now open for the 2024 Awards of the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.  This year, we are excited to introduce two new awards to our esteemed lineup. The Engaged Alumni Award aims to celebrate and honor alumni who have shown exceptional dedication and ongoing involvement with the CNLM following the completion of their degree or training at the Center.  The Team Science Award will recognize the invaluable contributions of collaborative, interdisciplinary teams in advancing our understanding of learning and memory.

These new awards will complement our existing  undergraduate and graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, and faculty awards. Trainee recipients will receive $1,000 awards and will present their work in a brief, elevator pitch format to the CNLM community during the Award Ceremony, which will take place at the Irvine Improv Comedy Club this year as a luncheon.  A description of each award and how to apply are available at cnlm.uci.edu/awards. Applications are due March 5, 2024.

2024 CNLM Trainee Awards

All trainee awards are $1000. One or more of each will be awarded. 

·         Renee Harwick Advanced Graduate Student Award

·         Roger W. Russell Award in the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory

·         John W. Haycock Memorial Graduate Student Travel Award

·         Jared M. Roberts Memorial Graduate Student Award

·         Carol Becker McGaugh Undergraduate Award 

·         Friends of the CNLM Undergraduate Awards

·         Carol and James McGaugh Award

·         The James Tait Goodrich Award for Excellence in Neurobiology in honor of James McGaugh

 

2024 CNLM Faculty Fellow Awards

The Faculty Fellow Awards recognize our faculty for excellence in mentorship, charting new paths, making transformative contributions to our field, and translating research discoveries to have a meaningful impact on society.

 

2024 CNLM Engaged Alumni Award

The Engaged Alumni Award aims to celebrate and honor alumni who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and continued engagement with the CNLM following the completion of their degree or training at the Center.

 

2024 CNLM Team Science Award

The Team Science Award will recognize the importance of collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of the brain. This award recognizes an outstanding interdisciplinary CNLM research team for their innovative and meritorious science that has advanced or is well positioned to advance our fundamental understanding of learning and memory.
